The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel has been running an occasional series Great Lakes, Great Peril. With the meeting on the State of the Lake in Milwaukee there has been lots of talk about the Great Lakes and the recent approval for $400 million for cleaning up and restoring the Great Lakes.
Carp poses a threat to Lake Michigan but so does acid mine drainage and heavy metal acid rain. What we do today does have an impact on the state of the Great Lakes in the future. See the series on line by clicking here.
